Please let me know if you'd like to go through some troubleshooting.
@EA_AljoCan you please explain why this thread has gone stale/cold while the issue clearly exists for multiple users across multiple regions?
- As already pointed out, Its not player/latency/clientside related.. But there is something i can add to it..
- Its random/does not effect every player..
- Its most noticible in vehicles
- Servers do not show any excess cpu/memory/bandwidth usage
- Running a server as Vanilla with no procon layer = makes no difference(personally tested)
- Restricting players only to that region (i retricted CountryCode to AU & NZ only... same deal) - all pings averaged well below what they did before the issue occured.
- Also... a game that is getting close to 10 years old.. having internet issues... (thats rare and few & people notice its their connection quickly)
The issue only occured about 5 days ago for others and mysellf in our region AU.
For all we know it could be DOS or similar but most hosts/providers are unable to or willing to monitor network traffic and help fault find.
As for me, i still rarely get it and only when in vehicles late at night during peak hour.
- it feels like an in-between service slowing the traffic/data from a player to the server, a recent update thats rolling out (if any was done to the client/game) or something like excessive logging possibly?
- Player count can effect it, but thats possibly the cause/problem with what ever is getting overloaded can not handle it.
