Extremely slow load times on a high end PC.

My rig: i7 3770K, GTX 670, 8 GB 1600 mhz RAM, Windows 7 64 Bit, 7200 RPM HDD (Seagate Barracuda 1tb sata 6).

My buddy has the same rig just a bit more ram and a weaker video card. Always loads in 2x faster than me. I even tried loading on low settings, doesn't help. What's the deal? Please don't tell me to get an SSD, I would have one if I could (remember he loads in way faster than me on the same hdd). I defragged as well, didn't help.

It could be your HDD. You might need to free some space. Find some game you don't play and delete them

I have over 300 GB free, that can't be the issue.

Same issue here, except I'm running off a SSD.

I am having the same issue on my end.  I moved it from my 7.2kRPM drive to my SSD and I got at most maybe a 5% shorter load time.  Every time a new map loads it looks like everyone has been going a good 30 seconds sooner than me.  My connection is blazing fast in both ping and throughput so its not that.

On my PC, the very first map I load takes a looooong time, i fink close to 60-90 secs. On subsequent maps afterwards, it's like 10-15 secs.

Does anyone get these same symptons?
