Can't connect on Multiplayer. All I'm getting is Failed to Connect to EA Online. No problems with my connections and no firewalls that will effect it. Patched and VIP pass downloaded. Any ideas?

Still getting this as well and have been for a few weeks. Are there any known issues going on? I deleted the VIP pass and the 14MB update and still nothing.Are any of you guys even able to play? I noticed BFBC2 Stats has zero servers and players currently listed for BC2.

I am having the same problem, but it only happens sometimes. Some times I can get on and it will login just fine and other times I will get the message. My internet connection is fine, all my downloads/updates are fine. So it seems to be a problem on their end. Nothing you will be able to do except for waiting and keep trying. One day I couldn't get in and it gave me the message and then I tried again about 30 minutes later and I got on. Sometimes it takes longer. I don't know if it's because the servers are full, but I thought it gave a different message for that. Regardless of what it is, its on EA side not ours. And seeing how this is an older game and EA reputation its probably will not get fixed.

And I would like to add that the times I couldn't log in I could go into my "recently played with" and see that people are indeed still in-game playing even though I am unable to even connect to EA. And then there will be times when I am in-game and my friends can not join/connect to EA. So its something on there end that needs addressed.

Every time I am unable to play this game because of the “failed to connect to EA online” problem i'm going to bump this post. Although I am certain that this problem will never be resolved.I have done everything on my end to fix this problem that is vary clearly a problem on EA's server side.Yes, I know this is an older game, but if your servers were unable to handle the influxes of players when this game was offered “free with gold” why would you even have offered it in the first place?Please just try and pass this along to whoever it is you need to let know.

BUMP. Come on guys, this is ridiculous. Two days in a row where I can't get in due to this error - this despite all my mates managing to play without problem. Considering this is one of your better (if not the best) titles in the series and people are still playing it, at least try and fix a recurring problem for the loyal community. Server issues? Gateway problem? Either way, fix it.
I'll keep bumping this as long as this problem reoccurs.

Any luck? I haven't been able to connect to EA online for a week now when trying to play Battlefield 2 bad company on xbox. I've tried powering down modem and router, restarting, everything. Still nothing...it'd be nice if EA would at least acknowledge they are working on a solution

Tambem tenho o mesmo problema...não conecta ao servidor...console original, jogo original, live gold original, já exclui e instalei de novo o jogo e nada!!!...já fiz de tudo, menos jogar on line porque não conecta!!!
