Fire modes for the M16A4 and M4 Carbine

After looking at the Specs for each weapon in BF4 they are essentially the same weapon. If you look at the colt website the M4 is a single semi and full selectable weapon. Why use either gun if it’s the same thing? By the way it’s a three round burst not a two. Please patch these weapons for added game usability. Thank You Sterling Davis (BF42, BF Vietnam, Bf 2, 3, 4)

  • My apoliges there are slight diffrences between the two. and i was looking at the picture on the discription of 1 bullet and two bullets for fire mode mistaken it for a two round burst. But the M4 should still have a single burst and full setting. every assult and carbine has a full auto ability or a three way choice.

All I'm saying is give one of the two a full auto choice.

Actually the M16A4 and M4 variants haven't had a full auto option since the Vietnam era (the BF3 M16A3 should not have had a full auto mode if it was to be correct).  The current rifles have only safe, semi, and burst.  I know this because I used these weapons while fighting in Baghdad.  Even the real weapons have slight differences in range and accuracy since one is a rifle and the other a carbine.

I'm not sure what country you were fighting for but the m4 is single fire and fully automatic. I know this because swat us m4s and I've shot one in the academy. No burst fire and it was a dpms.
