From a shared PS4, my PSN ID got linked to my roommate's origin account!

So my roommate has a PS4, it is set up to be his primary PS4 but not mine since I planned to get my own soon. I set up my PSN account on it as a second profile. I logged into my profile, got the game installed. I redeemed a 30 day psn plus trial. I went to my computer to tie my PSN to my Origin, but it said it was already tied to a different Origin account, WTF? I look at my roommate's BF4 origin account on battlelog, and sure enough, there is MY PSN name showing as one of HIS soldiers for BF4.

I had a web confo with an EA advisor, and they said the could change it but there was a risk I could PERMANENTLY LOSE EVERYTHING TIED TO MY ORIGIN ACCOUNT. They said that was a worst case scenario but that is still an unacceptable risk to gamble several hundred dollars worth of games for what should be a simple fix. I submitted the call back request with someone from the US but haven't gotten the call yet probably because it's the weekend. Any other advice?

  • For this problem since it is an account problem you will need to contact a Game Advisor at EA Customer support: https://help.ea.com/contact-us  I have not heard of losing data from disconnecting and connecting your PSN ID with an Origin account but it is ultimately a cost benefit that you must weigh.  I have however seen many people on these forums do this type of action without incident.

1 Click on the following link: https://help.ea.com/contact-us
2 Make sure you are logged in (top right corner)
3 Click on the blue button "Contact a Game Advisor"
4 Enter the name of your game or product (or "Origin" for account-related issues) and click "Find Solutions"
5 Select the type of issue and the platform you play on, and click on "Find Solutions".
6 Click on the blue button "I still need help" if the FAQ articles do not apply to your situation.
7 Select a contact option. Note that you may get different contact options depending on your country.

I recommend that you use the telephone option and the “call me” option so you don't have to stay on hold for a long time (call back feature available to North America only).
