I ended up refunded and rebought it. Uninstalled CE, for the meantime anyway, although doing that annoys me greatly. I hope they do something about it, but I don't imagine it is going to work out.
The second reddit post got a lot more attention, which I am glad of at least. Hopefully will hear more soon.
That said I don't imagine they would combine the work of both accounts. Even in the off chance that they resolve this problem, the odds of an apology are slim to nil, much less getting anything to help us out.
Even getting people to talk about it has been as easy as talking my way out of speeding ticket. When you're presumed a cheater, every one is a traffic cop citing your sorry ass.
Still no updates from anyone I see and yet people are still getting banned.
Some guy yesterday for just speeding up his downloads online using CE. Of course, no new responses from Even Balance, my ticket has yet to be updated.
I hope to god EA moves to FairFight only. EB and PB are worthless, and the software they make is equally worthless.
FairFight actually tries to detect cheating in the game, not installed software. Which works better do you think?

EB still hasn't responded again on the trouble ticket I updated a week ago. It could be vacation, hard to tell this time of year really, so likely have to wait unti January for follow up.
I did the appeal again with the added information and duplication info from the thread, but as many elsewhere have said "Having CE installed is reason enough to keep the ban" which is BS, but it is the kind they speak.
For myself, as stated, I did the refund, made a new account, bought the game, and started over. This has sucked, but the alternative was to wait for however long this takes to resolve, and then be behind all my friends playing it, by months.
I look forward to the day that EA uses FairFight only, and PunkBuster can be ditched, because the software is not only bad at what it does, but dealing with this whole process excacerbates the issues seen. Good software would warn you, or fail to start BF4 with a warning, close out these programs, or do any number of things, rather than just auto-ban someone. Can't expect competency everywhere certainly.
Not that EA or others are any better. They send you to them, and everyone refers to everyone else. "PB is only a 2 minute kick" which server side can be configured to a lifetime ban. "Talk to EB, they're the one's who banned you" yeah and you list it for all the world to see, even by IP (Not exactly rocket surgery to change that is it?). "Having any cheating software means you are guilty in cheating in some games, and that is bad enough"
That last one is the funniest to me. I guess I am old school, remembering a time when games had Cheats built into them, for fun. And the reason a lot of people use Cheat Engine is trainers and a ton of other stuff like it online, tends to be malware. Sue me for finding a decent memory editor rather than risking tons of bad **bleep** infecting my PC. That's aside from their moral crusading standpoint. Who appointed them judge of my gaming habits. They can judge this one and any other MP game they protect all they like, but otherwise, they can get lost.

Well you can't even discuss about the issue on the PBBans forums, I did not receive a ban yet they blocked my account on the forum because I discuss this subject.
That's some confidence.
