EB still hasn't responded again on the trouble ticket I updated a week ago. It could be vacation, hard to tell this time of year really, so likely have to wait unti January for follow up.
I did the appeal again with the added information and duplication info from the thread, but as many elsewhere have said "Having CE installed is reason enough to keep the ban" which is BS, but it is the kind they speak.
For myself, as stated, I did the refund, made a new account, bought the game, and started over. This has sucked, but the alternative was to wait for however long this takes to resolve, and then be behind all my friends playing it, by months.
I look forward to the day that EA uses FairFight only, and PunkBuster can be ditched, because the software is not only bad at what it does, but dealing with this whole process excacerbates the issues seen. Good software would warn you, or fail to start BF4 with a warning, close out these programs, or do any number of things, rather than just auto-ban someone. Can't expect competency everywhere certainly.
Not that EA or others are any better. They send you to them, and everyone refers to everyone else. "PB is only a 2 minute kick" which server side can be configured to a lifetime ban. "Talk to EB, they're the one's who banned you" yeah and you list it for all the world to see, even by IP (Not exactly rocket surgery to change that is it?). "Having any cheating software means you are guilty in cheating in some games, and that is bad enough"
That last one is the funniest to me. I guess I am old school, remembering a time when games had Cheats built into them, for fun. And the reason a lot of people use Cheat Engine is trainers and a ton of other stuff like it online, tends to be malware. Sue me for finding a decent memory editor rather than risking tons of bad **bleep** infecting my PC. That's aside from their moral crusading standpoint. Who appointed them judge of my gaming habits. They can judge this one and any other MP game they protect all they like, but otherwise, they can get lost.
Well you can't even discuss about the issue on the PBBans forums, I did not receive a ban yet they blocked my account on the forum because I discuss this subject.
That's some confidence.

The one on the Forums hit 37 pages, and is down to bickering over the ToS and whether or not a program installed is grounds for the ban.
Clearly, they expect us to be psychic and know the uses of every program. My favourite was the mention of using Notepad to cheat, which is definitely possible. Hilarious.
Well, my advise to all ya'll is to get the refund. The fight with EB is impossible, and they haven't responded to the update in 3 weeks now. Not that my Ban mattered a lot, but I would swap back to that account if they reverted the ban, not having lost my levels and such yet.
How ridiculous this all is.
I get their point of view, I do. However it is 2013. Software should detect cheating, and do something, not detect programs installed, or even running, if they are not affecting the game. Going after legitimate hacks to me seems like a better idea, than just banning anyone who presumably could cheat.
Second, the idea of a perma-ban from something I paid for, unless for a serious violation, also seems ridiculous. Even a 24 hour ban would not have been bad, and I would withstand this BS for that kind of "Punish the Suspected" mentality that they have. Even a weeklong ban would have been tolerable.
This and the like are stupidity in finest form. Did you all see the Tweets from the Developer about the Glitching at C on Oplocker. Soon FairFight is going to kick people and Ban them from that match for doing it. Maybe I'm different, but maybe fixing the goddamn exploit at C, as opposed to making it a bannable violation, is not only a plausible solution, but the correct one too. Instead, soon enough spawning on a teammate can get you banned. This whole thing is madness and completely ridiculous.

from what I understand it seems to me that didn't read my balance evem justification, I already understood that c comes to an error I used a program that somehow was recognized as a cheat, I just want to remind the gentlemen who was never caught in any kind of cheat, played the bf3 with but 1 years with a good history negative (http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/fmedivaldob3/stats/378795904/pc/) [battlelog.battlefield.com] I also remember that with a lot of difficulty I bought the bf4 by R$109,00 divided into 6 x is after the prize for $ 110.00 also divided on the card and which in a short time of game already have a •freg range common good to my type of game, I'm part of a clan that in no way accepts cheat, (The armed forces) was caught by the SC in own clan serv, and I love to play with my friends from the clanagain I say I used the cheat engine program was unaware that it was illegal, I had formatted my pc there was caught by virus was installing the bf3 because had already installed the bf4, I pause the download and play bf4 forgot the ceatingne connected, was playing with my clan when kicked wire.
There's no criteria for the banishment? because it states that took a kick of 1200 minutes, which would accept, understand my mistake and definitely would have but watch out for those programs that use, and be warned. I so only understanding the ggc stream-thank you. I am an honest player (http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/soldier/fmedivaldob3/detailedstats/378795904/1/)[battlelog.battlefield.com]
