Game constantly requires micro updates but never can play

Question

I have had about a hundred odd micro updates on BF4 since its last update and now it has to download ~600kb files to play but once downloaded it asked for another update, the same size. These haven't stopped yet, and they are over 100 and counting; how do I fix my problem?

if on PC, running origin as administrator or reinstalling origin has worked to resolve this problem for many in the past who have experienced this 600mb update that repeats.
