I had this same problem in the BF4 beta. It tells me "Game disconnected: client closed down connection." when it fails to join a server. It seems like I can join low population servers though (maybe 0-5 players). Anything above that number gives me the error. I know a lot of other people had this same problem in the beta but I never saw a good fix for it.
I play on the PC and I'm pretty sure I have all of my software updated. I've never had a network problem with any other games.
Any help would be appreciated.
The battlefield 4 process won't close. I'm having the same issue.

i'm having this issue as well but i doubt ill be able to get anything done about it tonight. ill keep a look out for a fix as well.

-Port Forwarding (Both TCP and UDP): 53, 3074, 3659, 9988, 14000:14016, 17502, 20000:20100, 22990:23006, 25200:25300, 42127
-Firewall: Disabled
On Windows:
-Firewall: Disabled
-Services: "SSDP Discovery" on AUTO (and running)
-Punkbuster: Updated to the latest version

-Reboot (PC, Router, Modem, Origin...)
It seems that I'm able to join servers that are up to 3~6 players. More than that and it gives
"ERROR
Game disconnected: client closed down connection."When I successfully join a server, the connection drops after a few minutes with "Disconnected from EA⚽" message.BF3 is ok.
BF4 is not.
I didnt have any problems in the beta and was able to play that fine then but not anymore.
Same issue here, any fix ? f ing annoying , always some issue with Battlefield games like pc players are beta testers ???????????????????

I have my install of battlefield on a ssd.
I have an ATI card, xfx 6870.
Intel i7 940
asus ramapge formula motherboard
I can join empty or small pop. servers
I didnt have any issues with the beta but am now having them
I dont have any issues with bf3 and those ports are foward as well
i deleted any left over files from the beta, just in case but didnt work.
i tried disabling the firewall and antivirus but didnt work
reinstalled punkbuster (though i should try to update the other versions that came with bf3 or bad company 2, which ill try once im home)
if i remeber anything else, ill update it. Brain storming session guys!

I have a 7970 so this wont work for me.
I can play for a few minutes then screen goes black with flashing cursor in right of screen, then game takes me back to battlelog saying client closed connection. Same way for others ?
I want to play online but this only error right here is the one that prevents me, go figure as it is EA...
im also having this problem but i can play single player perfectly fine, ea hasnt been much help (sending one message every maybe few hours) i could play the beta no problem but now i keep getting that error message. a friend and i have tried a lot of things to fix this error, pretty much everything we could think that might casue something like this and came to the conclusion i just have to wait for ea to one day fix this bug. but if anyone else finds an actual fix to this issue that would be amazing! im kinda feeling like i wasted 75$
