Hello @MrMcKrinkledink,
Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:
Clean Install Graphics Drivers:
- Use a tool like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove your current graphics drivers.
- After uninstalling, download the latest drivers from the NVIDIA or AMD website and install them.
Lower Graphics Settings: Try lowering the in-game graphics settings to see if that stabilizes the game.
Disable Overclocking: If your GPU is overclocked, try reverting it to its default settings.
Check for Background Applications: Close any unnecessary background applications that may be interfering with the game, especially screen recorders, overlays (like Discord), or other resource-heavy software.
Run the Game in Compatibility Mode: Right-click the game executable, select Properties > Compatibility, and try running it in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows.
Verify Game Files: If you're using a platform like Origin or Steam, use the option to verify the integrity of the game files.
Update Windows: Ensure your operating system is fully updated, as missing updates can cause compatibility issues.
Adjust GPU Settings: In the NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Radeon Settings, make sure the game is set to use your dedicated GPU and check other performance settings.
Check for Thermal Issues: Monitor your GPU temperatures to ensure it’s not overheating, which could cause crashes.
Reinstall the Game: If all else fails, a clean reinstallation of the game might resolve persistent issues.
