I had the same problem today. It's still a very brand new game and so far from what I have heard it's a server issue. are you running and get to a point and then go back 3 or 4 steps?

Community ManagerMake sure your computer is using your GPU and not your on-board (motherboard) video hardware.
Run DXSETUP.exe from this location to be sure all the required DirectX components are installed:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\directx\redist
