Try removing all traces of Nvidia software, then reboot and check nothing is installed.
When this is done, try and install the newest Nvidia driver and see if it still happens.
This is known as a clean install and there's detailed guides on the net if you need it 🙂
Sometimes things break. Sometimes when you try to fix broken things, they break a little more.
Luckily when you have issues with your software you can always format your computer if the fix doesn't work.
It's up to you if you want to take my advice or try and wait for something you think is better 🙂 It's either that or live with it.
