GTX 1060 low fps on bf1
I have a Gtx 1060 and no matter what settings i run it on i have maximum 10fps (can vary but always very low)
This makes the game unplayable.

Have you "Defragged" your pc, and run other types of Maintenance programs recently too?
How about, "Stress Testing" your video card, to see if it, "Actually Runs" the way the maker claims?
Try this program to stress test the Vid Card with, its free btw, you don't have to buy it.
Heaven Benchmark 4.0
https://unigine.com/products/benchmarks/heaven/
there's the link, when installed it wil run through 28 or so differing video sequences and come up with how fast your system really is!
You have a "Bottleneck" somewhere pal. This will help find it!
Hiya, I have used heaven before and I never had any problems with it, It always ran very smoothly and was almost above 60fps at all times.(besides when the scenes were loading)
Maybe I am not running the correct benchmark settings?
And no, I have not defragged my PC, I actually got a new hard drive, I thought that might be the problem but when i re-installed it onto my ssd to see if it would help, It did absolutely nothing.
I thought myself as well that i may have a bottleneck but all of my other games run fine.
Any other suggestions?
right of the bat without seeing the PC, I would say its a "Network Bottleneck"
I would first checky the "Firewall" and see if Origin is actually allowed past it?
Then I would make sure the game is also allowed too.
If all is well, then try a "Reboot of the Router"
Once that is all done, check the "Router Speed"
After that, Grab a beer and Relax, it ain't your day pal!
No seriously....BF1 runs differently than the other Battlefield games! You must also realise this by now?
Last thing to do is "Verifiy the Files of BF1, Those are in Origin. Right click on the Game and Verify the files, similar to steam.
If all of the above don't solve this problem there is also in Origin :"Help" an "Error Reporter"
Thats about it for me> I suspect the "Firewall" may be the standing problem here. Sometimes new programs/Games, don't get put into the "Exception List".
This "Slows the connection" when a program/game has to continuously access aproval from the "firewall" to run!
Get it?
Good luck.....
De-frag it right away, it does not have the "Sectors" that it should have and is "Searching" the "whole Drive" to find what it needs!
With a Defrag, enable the "Sectors" that it may ask for too! Sometime the program will not ask for it, as its done automatically.
Do you get it? Without a Defrag on a New HD, the PC will seach the HD fully! to find a program!
Kinda llike going to a public library. Without and "INDEX" to find a book in, you'll have to look at the Whole Library, "BOOK BY BOOK" for find the one you want!
Make sense now?
There's you bottleneck
Good luck pal!
My hard drive does have the sectors it needs,
i have checked the properties,I will now run a defrag and replay ASAP
however my main question is,no other game requires to defrag my hard drive,it's just Bf1 that has this problem.
