GTX 1060 low fps on bf1
I have a Gtx 1060 and no matter what settings i run it on i have maximum 10fps (can vary but always very low)
This makes the game unplayable.
Specs
AMD FX 8320 Eight core Processor
8.00GB ram...
Ok ok, I get it...now, heres the absolute last thing I know that can slow down a game. I was "Ridiculed by the "Ignorant" about this, and left a group of fellow gamers due to a few, "Morons" that didn't get this. There was a Majority of "Smart People onthe Voip that wanted me to stay, but I found an Arguement with a Moron slightly annoiying to say the least.
Now that this is out of the way, Here goes the explanation as "How I see the BF1 Network"
Battlefield 1 is not an Internet Game as we know it, but runs on a "Private Independent Network" Owned and Operated in Whole by EA games.
With that said, the "Internet Access" to this game is Totally different to what we understand about Internet access.
Get this so far?
This is the main reason why I took the "Cheap, Easy, route in helping you fix your problem.
Now, it you got the idea about what I'm saying your ready for the next step.
On "Rare occasions" at least to me it seems, some PC's don't "Recognise this, and the "FIREWALL' does not let the program run smoothyly through.
For some reason the Firewall does not put this program and Origin on the "Exclusion List, and "Blocks" incoming and outgoing signals.....slowing down the game, but not denying it access...
(I have been ridiculed by some really dumb people about this, but if there is another explanation, let me know and I'll accept it!"
Put "Origin and Battlefield One on the Exclusion List in your PC's Firwall")
How did I find this out you may ask?
Because my PC was one of those "Rare Cases" that I talked about! Maybe the Program did not get "Recognised" when I bought internet access from a New I.S.P., Anti-Virus, etc....these reasons may be many and varied, so i don't really care about this, ok? Its the "Problem and solution" that interests me, not the reasons.
Go ahead, look at any
Firewall, Exclusion Lists, etc....you may have for you PC in the "Setting or Control Panel Area ok?
You may not see Origin or Battlefield 1 on the Exclusion List, so take you time doing this as it is going to also mean your going to have to find the right, "Pathway" to Origin and Battlefield1 also....(I too have mutiply HD's and this may be the root cause why the Game or Origin was not "Automacally Excluded from my Firwall?" (again, don't care about the cause right?)
OK. Now I've said my peace about this and I'm outta ideas
Good Luck...
Hiya again, I have checked my firewall (I use bitdefender) and it does say that it is allowed through.
Origin and BF1 have permission, yet still the game runs badly.
I am considering contacting support and asking them what is the problem.
Many thanks for the help, Dupa
Yep, go to Origin Help in Origin Browser at the top of the toolbar, and start your "Error Report"
Origin will also grab all the pertinent data once you'be made this report, as Im outta ideas that may quickly help you!
BTW, someone here wants a DX Diag report, but that will only tell you what is running and what is not on your PC...You've already stated this is only happening on this specific game, so that also means that everthing is working correctly with DXDiag or any other games/programs would be affected also..right?
Now...its a Server Connection Problem that only Origin Help/Error Report can properly "FIX"
I also have used
"Origin Error Reporter" and they are very Prompt, unlike previous online games.
Sent it in, might take a day, most times is doesn't, but their batting average at "Fixing things" has gotten a lot better with this game!
Good luck
dude just no , reinstall windows
delete everything something is wrong
either your PSU is broken or you GPU CPU is broken
hmm ,
reinstall windows you are at a bad place
then download Nvidia driver from here only
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk dont download geforce experience just the driver and physx make sure you click the correct windows 64 bit ect
once installed , then do a test
do not run anything untill you do this , also download presionX make sure your GPU is clocking up
http://www.evga.com/precisionxoc/ do not touch settings maybe fans if you want and memory + 40
make sure your clocks are high on battlefield
make sure your power option in nvidia control panel is set on high power check all the settings on windows power scheme as well
you should 100% not be having any problem with fresh windows and drivers with that card
Maxwell, PSU is not broken or any of my PC parts.
All my other games run fine apart from BF1.
Also, I don't need to overclock. The game should run well either way.
But thanks for the suggestion!
If you could please provide a dxdiag.txt file and other information mentioned in http://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/READ-FIRST-How-To-Get-A-Response-To-Your-Technical-Issue/m-p/5636970#U5636970 that would be great.
As for your issue I would first try disabling Origin In Game in Origin and then starting the game after a clean boot:

No, no, just no 😛
Battlefield 1 runs through the internet like any other online game, if not that would require EA to have their own seperate cable into every country and household in the world and that would just be silly. So no.
"For some reason the Firewall does not put this program and Origin on the "Exclusion List, and "Blocks" incoming and outgoing signals.....slowing down the game, but not denying it access..."
If this was happening is packetloss icon would flash on the screen and while the game might lag badly it would not affect FPS.
Hmmm...of course you point about working, Across the Internet, has been considered by me since the begginng of this game,
But,
I agree only the way the game is brought to the Purchaser to play , "Only"
From this point of "Delivery to your PC/Console/etc.." it uses the "internet" then becomes a "Privately owned and operated Server, Accessable only on the EA Networks" once you actually "Start BF1.
Ok, now I've said that, back it up your gonna ask?
Simple really, try to access any other Webpage from BF1 using and Internet Browser, and keeping the BF1 GAme Server open at the same time.
Tried this yet?
Can''t be done, its not an Internet Browser Based game like the Previous BF games.
BF1 works on its own "Private INTERNET Server" and is non-accessable from any Internet Browser.
Does this clarify my meaning a bit?
Yes, I'll agree its an Internet game, but thats where it stops!
Its a game that has its own independent Server, that is not accessable whatsover by an "Intetnet Browser" and therefore is what is called, "A Privately owned and operated Server that has Specific Rules to all that Use the Service"
So, ....this makes it also, "Members Only" as we read the EULA and all agreed to it "Before we bought the game" It also "Restricts Freedom of Speach to a Mature Audience too"
This being said, on the internet Browsers as we know it, there is no "Freedom of speach restrictions" as it is open to the publc,
Not so again with BF1, as it is a Privately Independent Server Network for Members only!
Get it?
OK, so it is Internet Based, but thats as far as Im taking it, the rest is private.
We agree to Disagree it seems?
BTW, did I present a good enought "Arguement" for some "Food for thought?"qqq
Wow, so many wrong and non-understandable statements said 😛
I believe your understandment of the subject and/or English terminology about this subject is not good enough. You only succeed in confusing everyone.

I'm doing this on almost a daily basis. It can easily be done. I know easily at least 50 people who play BF1 who also has no issues doing this. Battlefield 1 doesn't block you from accessing the rest of the internet.
"BF1 works on its own "Private INTERNET Server" and is non-accessable from any Internet Browser.

There's no public internet servers which all games can use so all games in theory uses private internet server. It also makes no sense why you would access game servers from an internet browser. It doesn't clarify anything, only confuses me more 😛
"BTW, did I present a good enought "Arguement" for some "Food for thought?"qqq"
No, just no.

A DXdiag can be used for many things besides "what is running" (which it's actually not used for). It's most likely a local computer problem and NOT a server connecting problem even though you like to claim that.
Origin's reporting feature is for issues with Origin, but as Origin works fine and it's the game that is having low FPS it makes little sense to use that in this case.
As for your entire last post, I found it to make so little sense I'm just not going to comment on any of it.
Hi again, I did forget one Important detail as I see it with this Privately owned/operated network?
If by chance you PC/Console is running below the Standards that is should, then its like phoning the Cable company when you TV get a Bad Signal too.
They, "Ping" your TV to see where the "Bottleneck" is before sending out a Techinitian.
Now, being that I also have a Ground Telephone on this same circuit, why wasn't the phone affected too?
If you understand exactly how the "Internet works" you would also understand that each access point, (PC/Console/Router, etc) has its own Indie. I.D. (Which can also be made private or limited access too)
That being said, this also works in reverse too.
Mutiple Internet address's in the "Billions" share the same internet connection, but each are either Public/Restricted/Private, or Peer to Peer, (this can go on darn near forever, as this changes almost daily as needed too)
So, making a "Privately Owned and Operated Server/Webpage" is quite a common thing on the Internet, Kinda like "Buying a membership into the Playboy Webpage"
Thats also considered a "Private Server" when you buy a membership too. right?
BTW, you can probably think of a Peer to Peer MMO Gaming Server when you think of BF1, as it has its Own set of rules, but is totally restricted from direct acces to any linkable Webpage.
This, if you think about it, also makes it a Lot harder for people to "Hack into" this game too, and cheat/stats pad, ok?
We will disagree on a lot of things and how they work, it human nature. I respect you opinion to this also!
But, when you've been around since the very beginning of the Internet like me, and fiddled around with "Netcode" on a Commodore PC too, it also give you a way better Idea on how things work on the Internet without all the "Gobbley *" that the I.S.P.'s tell you when their Signal is Rotten from lack of maintenance really,,,
thanks for the comment.
Hiya, I have attached below the DxDiag file, I already have tried a clean boot, with the basic drivers and it has not helped.
I have read your comments and I would like to ask to take your arguments elsewhere,
I accept ANY suggestions as I am really confused why I cannot get Bf1 to run at a stable framerate.
Any more suggestions would be great.
Thanks again for your help,
Dupa

@Yupa117 your RAM is at the minimum needed to run BF1 and most people who have problems here on AHQ are running 8Gb, so in the future you may wish to upgrade to 16 GB of RAM. I also see that you are running Direct X 12, have you tried reverting to Direct X 11? I ask because Direct X12 seems to perform poorly in BF1 compared to Direct X 11 and my GTX1060 is getting good frames (over 60 FPS on Ultra) and I'm using Direct X 11. If you haven't tried 11 it might be worth trying.
