GTX 560 sky flicker

Hello, I am having an issue with my game. Whenever I am playing on any map or gamemode I get this sky flicker. Vertical thin black lines flicker every second or two in random positions only in the skybox. I have literally tried everything from changing graphics settings to changing moniters. All my drivers are up to date. I am not sure if this has anything to do with my DirectX error crashes. I ordered a GTX 770 and it should come on tuesday so let me know if a new card will help at all. I've reinstalled the game and DirectX. I am not overclocking.

Please reply any suggestions, thanks.

  • Hi @WilfrodBrimlu, what directX error crashes have you been having?

In the meantime heres some suggestions to try:

-Do a repair install of the game in Origin. In origin right click your game and from drop down choose repair install.

-make sure that you've updated your drivers to latest version - or revert to a previous driver.
If its Nvidia then go to the Nvidia website and download the latest graphics driver. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us
Choose a 'clean install' (usually in the advanced install options)
If the problem only began after updating your graphics driver then try reverting to a previous driver (again choosing 'clean install)

-Make sure you are running the latest PhysX driver:

    Answer from eabastien:
Please download the latest physx driver. Go to your custom settings of your video-card software. Nvidia Control Panel > Configure Surround > PhysX > PhysX settings > select your graphics card. Disable all extra options for enhanced graphics and set the preferences for AA and anisotropic to “use application settings”.

    -Reinstall DirectX.
    1:go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\directx\redist
2:Find file named DXSETUP.exe and right click on it and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRTOR. Install it. It should update your DirectX install.
3: You might need to reboot computer first.
    4: try to launch game.

    -Update your Microsoft .NET framework.

Let me know how you get on.

I am getting this too.  I'm using a GTX 460 v2 and the latest DirectX and NVidia drivers.  It is like subtle vertical "artifacting", but only on the top half of the screen.
