[HELP] Battlefield 4 -- Lag Spikes -- Sound Loop etc pp

Hello, i ve been playing BF4 since about 2 days and i have massive problems.

My specs:

AMD Phenom x4 955 3,2 ghz OC to 3.6 ghz

nvidia gigabyte gtx460 OC (newest driver as you can see on my screenshot)

4 GB RAM

1 TB HDD

Clean Windows 8.1 Enterprise Evualation Copy

screenshot of lag spikes in MSI: (no i dont play in windowed mode, just switched for doing the screen)

http://abload.de/img/bf4lagspikesumqnk.png

I run the game very smootly on LOW (1920x1080) on 60 to 95 FPS. I´m gettin FPS drops all the time to like 10.

I ve made a screenshot in MSI Afterburner where you can see that my GPU usuage drops to like 0 to 20 and that is when my LAG Spike occurs.

I ve also experienced Sound Loop problems, where the sound loops and my game crashes. I already turned CPU Parking off which quiet helped a bit.

Now sometimes my sound still loops but it doesnt crash everytime... .sometimes its like its about to loop and my fps rise back to 80.

I also experienced the problem that sometimes the game just crashes on mapchange. It just says "BF4 has stopped working".

MY main problem are the Lag Spikes since this is the most annoying part of the story.

If you are experiencing the same problems as above or have a FIX or can maybe tell me where my problem lasts, I would highly appreciate if you just leave your 2 cents right here.

  • I do have the same kind of problem, I think it's related to the game/engine.   cause even lowering the resolution does'nt help (i play with graphics on low), and it's not internet code related either (have this on solo).

    Use console then type : peroverlay.drawgraph 1

it will show the CPU/GPU usage and my CPU spike sometimes to the top of the screen, which is obviously a bit weird.

I also get sound loops constantly  and of course these CPU spikes makes my fps drop very low.

    my card hd5870

    cpu e8500 @4.3 ghz

    4gb of ram

    windows 8 64 (had 7 64 before)

Hello im having the same problem except by the sound looping but instead i have no sound in game, for example i can only hear the radio commands, my gun sound and some explosions, but after that i dont even hear my foots steps any environment sound and not even the gun shots from other people only some of them. And for the lag spikes well they always start after 10 min aprox of playing the game online (even on the campaing i have the same problem), i checked my CPU temps and they were very good, the MAX temp recorded was 52C and the lowest 46C while playing, so it cant be CPU heating problem. What i've noticed is that my GPU starts making a wierd sound like if a wire was obstructing the fan but theres nothing there. Its a really annoying problem, PLEAS EA TELL US SOMETHING.

    My Specs:

AMD Phenom II x6 1100T Black Edition @3.3 (no OC)

    AMD Radeon 5830 1Gb GDDR5 OC Edition

    8GB RAM 1600MHz

    1TB HDD

    Windows 8

PD: I had this problem on BF3 also just when i quit the game, i played BF3 for a entire year with no poblems of this kind till the last year around July and never got a fix from EA or even an answer so i quitted. Hope this time changes.

  • To anyone having this problem with a Phenom ii CPU, Delete your OC and it will fix the problem.
