Pretty much I only get high ping in BF1. I live in Australia, the servers are hosted in Sydney and normally I get 35ms to a Sydney server. I have a fibre optic connection (100 down/40 up). I do not get high ping or connection issues in any other game than BF1. In the screenshot some servers say 35ms but once I go on, it's straight to 140 (Which is what I get to a California server). I ran a UOTrace and pinged the server directly, without the game open so it's not the game itself. I've contacted both EA support and my ISP about it and both said ask the other, which I already did, so absolutely useless. I tried opening the ports and doing the useless steps the EA gave me, too. I've run network monitoring tools and turned off every other device / PC in my home and nothing is using my bandwidth other than my own PC. My friend who lives around the corner with the same ISP and same plan does not get the issue. I have no connection or ping issues with the rest of my internet or in other games. I have a wired connection to my modem that is also very close and have tried another modem and another PC. My PC also does not get this issue at my friends house, around the corner. I have absolutely no idea what could be wrong, but it is 140ms every hour of the day and very frustrating to play on. I use to play BF1 fine, with 35ms, on this same internet connection a few weeks ago. Any help would be really appreciated 🙂 PC Specs:i5-4690k@4.2ghz 8gb R9 390X 16gb DD3 2100mhz Ram MSI Z97 Mobo

Restart your connection Cold booting your router and device will completely reset your internet connection, which often helps with connection problems. 1.Power off your router completely for 60 seconds, then switch it back on. 2.Restart your device.If you're on a console, cold boot it by powering it down completely and disconnecting it from the mains. Wait 2 minutes and then plug it back in and restart.3.After restart, try connecting to your game. Check your wired or wireless connection If you're playing on a wireless connection, try connecting your device directly to your router and seeing if your connection improves. If your connection is far better when you're wired, we recommend you stay connected that way. If it's not practical for you to use a wired connection, or if you cannot connect to your router with a cable, you may need to look in to changing your wireless channel to reduce wireless interference from other networks nearby. I am so glad that I am not the only person to be seeing this. Ever since the winter patch, I have seen the same thing. I am in California. When I see west coast servers with no one on 0/64 the ping shows 23 or so.. if the west coast server has 64/64 the ping shows 75-higher. I have trouble shot the same things also and no other game other than BF1 does this. BF4 I get 20-30 west coast servers. Other games 19-30 ping. This is just a bf1 issue. Is there some log file or config file that points me to a specific zone. I have unintsalled and reinstalled and it hasn't fixed the issue.

I have the same problem: I'm on fibreoptic internet, my usual ping is between 10-20 ms. But in recent months my ping has gone up to 130, with huge variability. Sometimes when I load the game it will show all the servers having around 35 ping, but when I join a game the latency accumulates and I end up with an average ping of 130 with spikes up to 200 or worse. i7 2600k @ 4.0gz 8gb ram gtx 980Ti W7 64bit

I am also experiencing a ping spike.. after about 30 minutes of gamming. Sometimes quitting the server fixes it and I can jion another.But most times it just ruins every server in Australia for me.I'll be playing at 40ms the all of a sudden 200+ and it doesn't go back.Its so strange I used to be able to play fine.What have u done EA on your end to ruin my experience? Can I be refunded my $160 au dollars? I'm serious it's an online game and your patching has seemed to have ruined it.

Hello @Mushroompickles

It seems like you have already done a lot of troubleshooting steps. So did I get it right, the game with your EA Account and your PC works fine on yours friend`s connection. But the issue is still present if you are using your PC and your connection, even with another modem? It does look like an issue on your`s internet provider side. Have you tried to launch the game on yours PC with another EA Account?

Keep me posted on this.

I am really sorry to hear about those connection issues with the game. Have you tried any of the troubleshooting steps, I`ve mentioned in my previous post? Connecting your PC and router with direct LAN cable can also fix this. Keep us posted.

0 players: 20-40 ping

20 players: 50 ping

Same problem here on PC and im in europe. Getting high pings and hard to find low ping server. And even on low ping server with my ping around 40-60 ms i get unregistered shots

Restart your connection
