High Ping only in BF1

Pretty much I only get high ping in BF1. I live in Australia, the servers are hosted in Sydney and normally I get 35ms to a Sydney server.

I have a fibre optic connection (100 down/40 up). I do not get high ping or connection issues in any other game than BF1. In the screenshot some servers say 35ms but once I go on, it's straight to 140 (Which is what I get to a California server). I ran a UOTrace and pinged the server directly, without the game open so it's not the game itself. I've contacted both EA support and my ISP about it and both said ask the other, which I already did, so absolutely useless. I tried opening the ports and doing the useless steps the EA gave me, too.

I've run network monitoring tools and turned off every other device / PC in my home and nothing is using my bandwidth other than my own PC. My friend who lives around the corner with the same ISP and same plan does not get the issue. I have no connection or ping issues with the rest of my internet or in other games. I have a wired connection to my modem that is also very close and have tried another modem and another PC. My PC also does not get this issue at my friends house, around the corner. I have absolutely no idea what could be wrong, but it is 140ms every hour of the day and very frustrating to play on. I use to play BF1 fine, with 35ms, on this same internet connection a few weeks ago.

Any help would be really appreciated 🙂

Hey @GarbageJuice21 sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing.

I have a couple of questions to you.

What region are you in?

What kind of network do you have?

Have you tried our network troubleshooting guide, and if you have what have you done?

I've had this issue as well for the past several months; where the ping for 90% of servers regardless of region were no lower than 160ms

The difference is I have a unique perspective. I live in the US, but was recently deployed to the middle east. I brought my gaming laptop, and used at least 4 different ISPs in 3 different regions. Germany, Kuwait, Jordan, and Iraq. No matter the ISP, connection quality, or region the servers were all the same as they are now that I'm back in the US and using fiber, and a different PC.

This shows, almost irrefutably, that this issue is not ISP, or router config based. It is server-side, or client/patch based.

is there any fix for this game ? cause i live in the asian region before my ping was a constant 30 to 70 ms acceptable range even in 64 player battles. but now when i play its always above 160 ms+ and YES we have tried your network troubleshooting guide but no avail yet
