How do I use the mic ? How do I use chat?

How do I get to the voice window ? I have a plug in play mic & headset. it works on other games but the mic doesn't work in BF4. I hit settings and I don't have a window for audio or chat. Actually I have no clue how to use chat either! This game has the worst tutorials EVER!

Since you said chat I'll presume you mean on PC.

Voice chat is handled by the Origin client if you have friends you wanna talk with, otherwise many servers provide their own teamspeak servers which you will have to download teamspeak for.
