how does original founder leave platoon / can he disband active platoon

We have an active level 25 platoon on battlelog with 4 founders, the original founder has now moved on - he does not get the 'leave' option, just 'disband'.

1/  Is there any way the original founder can leave the platoon.

2/ If he clicked disband - would it shut it down, it is still an active platoon with other founders. I hope it would not allow this while people are still in the platoon - could he kick/demote the other founders / members to disband it. I'd hope he could not kick the other founders.
