as @Ourumov13 called out, the progress is saved on the EA account linked to that gamertag. So the only scenario to keep the save files would be to continue playing on the same account. Any other scenario would include loss of progress - therefore it's highly recommended to set up an individual account per person, both Xbox account and EA account, so there's no problems arising later.
If you're using an Xbox One however, you can set it up as a home console and share the digitally owned games as well as the Gold membership on that console. Here's how to do that.
