I did the clear game data and clear temporary files and rebooting console before trying again. It reinstalled 1.02 update when I went back into the game.
1. What were you doing before the game froze? (E.g. just joined server, in the middle of the match)
I joined a Conquest server (have also tried Team Deathmatch and Domination). I select the Support class. I spawn into the game. I start moving my soldier and crash - the screen freezes and I can't get back into the PS3 menu. I have to hold down power button to shut down and power back up.
2. Where is it freezing? (E.g. on the deploy screen/ when player clicks deploy)
Right after the deploy puts me into the game. I see my gun and the gameplay and it freezes or sometimes it lets me move a couple of seconds and it freezes.
3. What Version of the PS3 or Xbox360 do you have (Slim, Super Slim, 1st generation)
PS3 Slim 250GB
4. What class were you playing at the time the game froze
Support class - does not freeze if I chose another class. Even if I play for sometime as another class, then try to play as support when I respawn, it then freezes.
5. Do you have any additional information for us?
May be a coincidence on the timing, but after I unlocked the QBB gun for support class, is when I started experiencing the freezes. I tried to equip the previous gun (PKP LMG) and it still freezes. I have not even been able to try the QBB gun yet because ever since I unlocked it, I freeze as support. So I have to play other classes like Assault and Engineer until you fix the bug. Support is my favorite class.
I played a total of 7 hrs on 10/29/2013 as a Support class and maybe crashed couple times, but I got a lot of game time in playing as support. On 10/30/2013, I got in about 3 rounds of play time as Support and then I unlocked the QBB, then the freezes started, everytime I try to play as Support. I just tried again today (10/31/2013) before typing this post and Support still freezes.

Follow up!!!
I noticed an earlier post from leexandercastro on this thread and he mentioned that he changed his field upgrade on his support class from INDIRECT back to SHADOW and it worked for him. Well I tried that too and it works for me! I can play as support and not freeze. I also tried changing my gun to QBB and it is working. So it wasn't the QBB gun that caused my problem, it is the INDIRECT field upgrade. Hallelujah!!!!!
