Under compatibility mode it listed a dialogue box that said "Missing ssleay32.dll"

I believe that this is the culprit. Any chance that this is the reason that it won't run?

Also, my specs:

-Win7

-Intel i5-2500K@4.4GHz, NVIDIA GTX 570 with underclocked voltage, and 8GB RAM

-I only have 1 origin account

-This is my first time in BF1942 on this PC

-I tried everything listed in this thread
