I have the same problem. Trying to launch with origin set as admin and bf1942 as admin gives me "Launching game" and then nothing. I did try set compability mode to XP SP2, and when trying to run it i get an error message stating that "ssleay32.dll is missing". I've tried using repair game, but Origin tells me the game doesn't have any missing files. This might be the problem?
