Input lag on mouse Battlefield 4

I need some help because none of the threads related to this problem have worked for me. I never had any problem with input lag, until NVIDIAs recent graphics driver update. For some reason since i updated, i have had some bad random mouse input lag, even though i run the game at a smooth 60fps. I have checked on the threads related to this, but none of them work for me. Some of the troubleshootings i have done is deactivating origin ingame, updated directx, repaired the game files and reconfigured the graphics settings without results. Would appreciate any help i can get to fix this. To be clear, this happens only ingame, not outside.

As you said you disabled Origin in-game overlay. If you have any other overlays like Discord overlay or TeamViewer, try to disable or completely close all of them.

  • @DarkskinNadal Hi,

Have you tried to turn off V-Sync in video settings in the game? Also, see if installing the previous version of graphics driver will help you.

  • Sorry, i forgot to mention that i never use V-Sync in game so thats not the problem. I tried to do a driver rollback to NVIDIA driver 411.63 which was the last version where there was no input lag. To my surprise, the input lag was present with the older version as well, even though i never had it before. This leads to my conclusion that its not the graphics drivers, but something in the game files. Any suggestions on what i should do?

  • The lag are sudden stutters and sensitivity drops that happen while im ADSing or looking around with my mouse. I tried now to reset my PROFSAVE_profile, without any results. Cleanboot didnt work either

  • Thats the problem. I dont have any other overlays while i play because i prioritize bf4.exe to keep the preformance at max and that means i dont have any background programs running to keep it that way.
  • Nevermind. It was probably origin since i closed it, there has been no input lag. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated 🙂
