Intermittent freezing/stuttering in Battlefield 3 & 4 PC

Recently I've been experiencing lots of stuttering and intermittent freezing in Battlefields 3 and 4. There are periods occurring around 2-3 times every mintue during which my frames drop to <25 and the game freezes for maybe half a second. This hasn't ever happened before, with BF4/3 or any other game, and I've caught a few other people complaining about this as well. So far, I've tried repairing the BF4 install, rolling back my nvidia GPU drivers to 340.52, and lowering my settings. Any ideas of what may have went wrong? If there are any other specifics I missed, please let me know. Thanks everyone!

GTX 760 SC 

8 GB RAM

Windows 7 Home Premium

    One issue that I did not see mentioned is Origin in game which is known to cause lag and stutter issues even on Nvidia machines.

    Turn it off and see if it helps.
    To turn off Origin in game log into Origin, in the upper left hand corner click on the word "Origin" in the menu, and then click on "Application Settings". Next go to the "Origin in game" tab and uncheck the "enable Origin in game" box.

    Yes, I have had this issue aswell... It started a couple days ago, maybe there was a patch or something, but my game freezes every other minute. It is very annoying and the game is unplayable for me. This has never happened to me before, Ive played this game on the same pc for over 400 hours... I hope they fix this soon.

    I only just bought BF4 Today and am also having this issue. I have looked around online and tried unistalling and reinstalling Nvidia drivers, repairing the game install, running different settings and configurations and unparking my cpu cores but to no avail. This is incredibly frustrating as BF3 and all other games for that matter run fine with no issues on my system. I really hope that if this is a game issue that its patched quickly.

    mine solved. AMD raptr was casuing this issue.

    I'm having the same issue. Sound and video just freeze for like a second, and it happens every 20-30 seconds. It also happens in BF:BC2. 

    System specs:
    Acer G3620 motherboard

    i7-3770 @ 3,4 GHz 

    Gigabyte GTX 780

    8 GB DDR3 1600mhz RAM

    Windows 8.1 64-bit

    All my drivers and programs are fully updated. 

    I haven't tested it out with AMD Raptr turned off, I do have that programs because my previous graphics card was an AMD HD7870.

    Thanks much for the tip on AMD raptr. This was causing my intermittent freezing. Was driving me crazy as I have been playing this game for a long time. Not sure it it auto updated recenlty but my freezing problem started about a week ago. Was happening on BF3 and BF4

    Removed raptr and now all seems fine.

    Have had alot of problems with BF4 and drivers for my AMD cards.  However since i totaly wiped my OS and installed windows 8.1 and the newest AMD beta drivers it's been ok (not great). But this was new, first time i saw it was Tuesday November 4.

    Did a repair of BF4 but still the same.

    Will try to turn off Raptr and see if it improves.
