Is it possible to play Battlefield 4 on a LAN party?

Dear EA,

We were hoping to play Battlefield 4 on our LAN party. The question is, is it possible to play BF4 with around 50 people on the same internet connection without lag? I heard it isn't possible anymore to host your own local server and to access a hired one, we would need a significant amount of bandwidth from our ISP.

Looking forward to hear from you and help us on our way to achieve this!

Just to set a thing straight.

You are not writing to EA, you are writing to a community based support forum.

You need some good internet and importantly a correctly setup professional router. It's indeed not possible to host your own servers anymore.

BF needs these ports open: http://help.ea.com/en/article/online-ports-for-battlefield-4/

BF 4 should use around 200KB/s down, 48KB/s up with the new 30 hz update which would for 50 people be a 10.000 KB/s / 2400 KB/s ~= a 11/3 Mbit/s connection + whatever overhead you need for people downloading, IM'ing, Teamspeaking etc.

Thank you for the helpfull answer! Only one thing, if we would want to rent a server, can this be done for one or two days only. All the ones i have seen are at least one month.
