Hi just to be sure, You can bind the buttons on your mouse trough the battlfield keybinding options?, but when u do the bindings aren't named correcltly? For instance the G5 button is called G7. And some of the binded buttons do not work correctly in game?
With my Joystick i also had that when i was binding keys there weren't named coorectly, but for me it wasnt a problem because it worked correctly.
I found this answer on another site, i dont know if its true, maybe someone else can comfirm or deny that its possible.

oh, I understand what you're talking about now.
I think the maximum number of buttons that games will natively support is 5 (left, middle, right, back, forward). possibly 7 if you consider scroll up and scroll down to be buttons. this is a Windows limitation and is caused by the format (and size) of the message that Windows sends to applications reporting mouse actions. extra buttons that don't fit into that message structure simply don't get reported to applications.
and some games will recognize even fewer (Windows reports them, but the game ignores them).
for games like that, or mice with more buttons (like the G700) you need to assign the mouse button a key action to allow a game to recognize it.

i have a G500 mouse, its got some less buttons but more than 5 in total let me look if it works.

Thing is that the G5 is a standard windows button; it is as the name suggest the fifth button. I've also heard that people have similar issues with the 4th button as well.
