Language of the Battlefield 4 pre-order

Dear Sir/Madam,

I want to pre-order Battlefield 4 from the Origin online store, but there is no information regarding the language of the game that I would receive.

When I have bought Battlefield 3 (also a pre-order from Origin store), it turned out to be Russian only. I am Russian, so I can understand it, but the problem is that the quality of translation is so bad that it often doesn't make sense and some text is overflowing the area, so it is impossible to read it there. Not to mention that English version gives a benefit to a player - you can clearly hear where are US forces and where are RU forces by the things they shout. In Russian version they both speak Russian. Also it is a matter of personal preferences - I always play games in English, because original voices and acting are always better.

So for me it is very crucial to get the game in English. I am not going to buy a game if it's Russian only, even if that would mean that I won't be able to play at all. I know that it might be not yet known which language would the game support, but I am curious if my Origin account could be somehow hardbound to English language (apart from store - I still would like to use local payment systems to pay for my orders), no matter the location I'm connected from.

Best Regards,

Dmitry

    Oh, supposed to send it to the tech support directly, but the system tricked me :D Well, anyway...

    Hello,

    You should be able to download your ordered game in different languages, you will be noted when pre ordering in origin, as well you will be able to choose language that you would like to download a game, for more accurate information you can contact live EA adviser https://help.ea.com/contact-us

    I am sorry to disappoint you but I had the same problem a year ago when I bought BF3 Deluxe Digital and it was never solved with the "help" of Origin's tech support.

    Despite the fact that it's clearly stated on the Origin site/store that the game is delivered in a bunch of European languages INCLUDING English, it has the only option in the end: Russian audio, Russian interface. MANDATORY, no options (nevermind the fact that you're forced to use the Russian version of the store, no matter how hard you try to refuse doing it).

    Well, I was sure that it is a no-brainer for the tech support to give you the right link to the desired installation since a nice amount of money had been paid on the customer's side. Boy I was wrong!

    It took ~2 months for them to address my issue (after I had quite a bunch of on-line chats with the tech support).

    And all I got in the end was: "Sorry, can't help. The game is region-locked, enjoy whatever you downloaded. Bye."

    So I wouldn't lay too much hope on this matter this time either.

    The Russian "dooblyatori" are out and after us, ready to screw any good gaming experience.

    Sadly, same goes about the whole movie watching experience in Russia.

    I am 38 now, and I have no desire whatsoever to:

    1. Be fooled again;

    2. Be forced into buying the product with the translation which was totally uncalled for (and it's not like the purchase is 0,99 cents either);

    3. Talk to useless tech support for ages.

    So what I did this time with BF4 pre-order was -- I just contacted a friend of mine in the US, asked him to buy the bundle online from his IP. And then just transferred the amount of money via paypal to cover his expences : )

    So, the proper, ENGLISH version of the game is already in my Origin client now, waiting for the beta/official release date to be downloaded.

    And as for the BF3 issue (though it's almost too late already, since BF4 is at your doorway) -- contact me via private message mate, I'll give you the proper links to finally change the whole thing to English (both interfaceand audio). Legitimately, no hacking or whatever.

    I don't know if links are filtered here, but here's my address (if you dont use the private message option): silentwitness mail ru

    Feel free to drop me a line, I'll share my whole experience with you and anyone who experienced the same hiccups : )

    I'll also guide you through the process of the game de-russification : )

    There's an official way with the official language files from the developer.
