Mantle Low Framerate Bug Happens after PC wakes from Sleep or Hibernation
Guys this happens either after my computer wakes up from sleep or hibernation. I either have to restart the PC, reinstall driver, cold reboot, warm reboot, before i can restore my real frame rates. i haven't really figured out the workaround yet but it seems to resolve the issue doing a warm reboot instead of a cold reboot. i know it's the beta, but i'm frustrated... Please work with AMD in fixing this.
In Paracel Storm, normally i could get 75-110fps with Mantle, but when this bug kicks in, I only can go up to 42fps and my gpu usage all the way up.
I already tried the "RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit" trick with values 0-3 but to no avail. Disabling vsync on or off no effect. Overclocking, setting to stock clocks, either the CPU or GPU doesn't help. Already did a clean uninstall of the drivers using DDU twice, doesn't help. I'm not formatting my computer, that's silly.
I get higher framerate in windowed or borderless mode but nowhere near my normal mantle framerates. This bug doesn't only affect Mantle, I get lower fps too on directx when this bug kicks in.
This is when it happens:
