Map rotation being weird

Having just gone back to this after not playing for years, I've been noticing some weird things with map rotation and voting. Sometimes it loads up the map that lost the vote, and at least once it's loaded up a map that wasn't part of the vote. Also on operations, it's sometimes loaded a map from an entirely different operation. For example yesterday I was playing attack on cape helles and we won so expected to load into achi baba, but it moved on to ballroom blitz. What's going on?

    Sometimes the server you're on has maps in a pre-determined sequence, hence not necessarily the next map in the same map region. When it is a rented community server and the owner or moderator is on-line, they can switch the maps as they please.

    I've had it happen several times that a certain map intro is played and instead of going to said map, it starts playing another intro for a different map. Could be deliberate, could be some sort of glitch, I don't know.
