Menu Icons are Missing. Cant open or see Battlepack contents

Product: Battlefield 1
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug All menu icons are missing. Can't open Battlepacks or see their contents. This problem only started after the November patch.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Unsure, seems system dependent
What happens when the bug occurs? All menu icons are missing. Can't open Battlepacks or see their contents. This problem only started after the November patch. Art Assests (backgrounds, icons, etc...) take ages to load if at all.
Please select your region Europe
In what game mode did the bug occur? Conquest
AMD or Nvidia Model Number 1060 GTX (have tried multiple drivers)
Enter RAM memory size in GB 16 GB DDR4

Someone else had a post with this problem which is marked as solved, but the soloution dose not work for me. This problem only started since the November patch.

I also have 'My Documents' on another Mechanical Hard Drive ('D), Battlefield 1 is installed on my primary SSD ( 'C'where my OS is also installed).

All icon assests seem to take a long time to load if they do at all. The main game, UI and all, is however working fine.

Moving 'My Documents' back to 'C' did not fix it for me, i'd also preffer to keep 'My Documents' off my SSD

Any news on a fix, or a temporary work around?

Thanks for the heads up on other post.

Having the exact same problem. After the November Hardcore/FoW patch i am lucky if i can even connect to online, the images for all game modes don't work and when i can connect it doesn't join a game, it just sits on matchmaking.

I know my internet is fine as i can voice chat with friends and i play other games online fine. I have re-installed Origin and BF1 on my SSD drive twice now at about a 9mb/s download speed and opened tickets of my own.

Also the location of my Battlefield 1 saves are in Users\(my user log in)\My Documents\Battlefield 1 (this is my C drive)

If someone could get back to us with a possible fix that would be great...

Missing out on Battlefest ! </3
  • no worries, i hope they fix it soon. It seems a lot of people are having similar problems that all seem tied to whaterver bug this is.

Think i've found the problem, i'll wait for you to confirm before i mark it as solved, and also to make sure it really is fixed.

I had my in game resolution downscaled to 125%, i've put it back down to 100% and it seems to have fixed it. Let me know if it works for you.

I tried fiddling with the various video settings, including the rendering scale, but with no success. Also seeing how my problem persisted since the day one and yours after the recent update, I'm starting to guess that mine and yours are from different causes, while it may seem the issue is the same.

I solve this issue when I set the render scale to 100%, everything went back to normal. But it's a shame that I can't get better graphic because of that...

Setting the scaling back to 100% worked for me too. The menu was so laggy it was unusable. Once I was in game it worked flawlessly. Just the menus were completely broken.

I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.

If you have any issues with Battlefield 1 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
