U said u have a p12 like me right? And u said u checked the connections...all of them i hope..because sometimes the connection from the headset to the volume controls is loose..which explains why you cant use mic but u can hear.I just got this headset and sometimes i forget about that connection. ..u ll here a snap when u hv it all the way in....if thats your problem.
Thanks that solved it, I didn't touch my headset for a while and forgot that you had to really push it in
