Middle mouse button cannot be mapped in BF4

Hi, id like to map the middle mouse button to lets say meele actions, but i just can get it done. I use the options, controls, on foot. I clic the action, then I press the midle button but is not registered. It just keep asking me to asing the button or press scape to cancel. I know my mouse works since I have this configurations for BF3.

    Not just the middle button. The side buttons as well. This worked fine in other battlfield games.

    I have a gimped pinky on my left hand, and the keys that would usually go there i map to the mouse.

    Ok, glad it wasn't just me. Really annoying, though I did get the side buttons mapped to Inventory Up/Down, but I too like to map the middle button to melee. Hopefully they get this fixed.

    My mouse3 (not middle mouse button) works nicely for mapping gadget 4. I want to use mouse4 to map gadget 3. I set gadget 3 to mouse button 4, (removed key 3 on keyboard) the game recognises the button, but in the game it is unresponsive, and still only works with key 3 on keyboard. I want my keys above the WASD keys to be vehicle seats, and mouse buttons for gadgets and weapons!
