Missing Skin

Product: Battlefield 1
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug I don't get a skin in my inventory after opening a battlepack
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure, I simply open up some battlepacks and don't receive some of the skins. This doesn't happen that often at all, but when it does, it really frustrates me. Just a side note, I often open battlepacks in large quantities, so that might have something to do with it.
What happens when the bug occurs? I open a battlepack, receive a skin, add it to my inventory, but it doesn't show up when I want to equip it.

Good day.
I have recently had this bug where I would open a battlepack, receive a skin, add it to my inventory just to end up not being able to equip it, because it's not there. This doesn't happen that often, but it has cost me some really good skins before, the most memorable being "The Care Package" skin.

So, I decided to make this bug report after contacting an EA Advisor, and even after he contacted the specialist team, they said I'd have to open a bug report for this. My problem is that I received "The Care Package" M1911 skin in the Nivelle Nights revision, but it didn't show up in my inventory and I couldn't equip it. I would really appreciate it if someone could look into this and potentially give me the skin back.

I'm not sure what causes this, but I do very often open a big amount of battlepacks at once. In the case of the Nivelle Nights revision, I bought about 20 superior battlepacks, received "The Care Package" somewhere between the 10th and 14th battlepack, but I ended up not having it in my inventory. I opened up the rest of the superior battlepacks hoping I'd get it again, with no luck.

My username is EdwardIIX.

Any help is appreciated,

Cheers!

Welcome to AnswerHQ, this Forum is based on "Players help Players" so we'r sadly not able to help you with your missing Skins.

If you'r sure you haven't Scraped it and it's really gone, so you was already on the right way with going through the Support.
If someone should be able to help, then the EA Advisor's from there.

Not sure why they sent you in here. 🙂

Where is the most place that I'm likely to come across an EA employee, as I'd like my skin back.

Got it, thank you very much for your reply.

Unfortunately, it seems like there will be no way to receive my skin back then. This thread should still be looked into however as it is a bug, and I'm not the only one who's experienced this. It seems this bug happens quite often to Super Rare skins, as I have seen several threads on the Battlefield forum talking about how they have lost their Super Rare skins out of nowhere. And yes, I am 100% sure that I didn't scrap it.

To anyone who's also experiencing this bug, there seems to be no way that the skin can be given back, as the EA Advisors have only given me the option to receive a compensation battlepack for the loss of the skin.

I'm sorry for these troubles, and that i can't help at this point.
But hopefully DICE will look into this issue. 🙂

    Hi Edward,

The only option is to go back to help.ea and raise the issue agine keep in mind that you can have a Chat with them and later you will get an email so you can track it.

I have actually been in live chat with quite a few Advisors over this issue.

Some of them said they added the skin to my account, but once I check it turns out it's still not there. Apparently they were confusing the skin I was talking about (The Care Package) with one that I already unlocked via the Play to Give mission (Package from Home), and so they were adding the Package from Home skin to my account, instead of The Care Package.

Any Advisor who actually understood which skin I was talking about ended up telling me they couldn't grant me the skin, and one Advisor took it up to a Specialist, who then told the Advisor to send me to the forums (hence why I'm here).

I ended up emailing support instead, and the information I got through email was much more useful. They told me that it unfortunately was not possible to grant the skin back for me, but they could give me a compensation battlepack. I was and still am upset over losing the skin, but at least they're kind enough to provide me with a form of compensation. I agreed and also asked them to forward the bug to DICE if possible, but I have still not received a reply since, and haven't received my compensation yet.

I hope I clarified everything. I have already gotten into live chat with support, and emailed them, to no avail.

Maybe the Support can only unlock you content, that was able to earn through Community Missions ect. but not through a Battlepack.
So we probably can just hope that DICE could fix that and everyone who lost something, get it back automaticly.

Applying your skin via the battlefield app might help , a similar situation happened to me
  • Hey,

I have a similar problem. A Skin vanished from my inventory. When I wanted to equip it ingame it just wasn't there and I can't find it in the inventory. Its the Legendary "Hunter" Skin for the Autoloading 8. I had to buy and open 3 superior battlepacks with my scrap to get the skin when it was in the revision. And I am absolutely sure that I did NOT scrap it. I wrote to the Battlefield forum (https://forums.battlefield.com/de-de/) but I was told there that they can't help me and told me to ask here in the HQ and closed the thread.

As I read this thread and I saw that also here noone is able to help I contacted https://help.ea.com/de/ again. I tried to contact them before I wrote the first thread in the Battlefield forum. The first time they gave me only the option to telephone, which I didn't because it had closed. Now they gave me also the option of a chat so I waited 30 minutes (they said 0 min waiting time) and still noone was available. When I checked the ticket again it said that the chat is not available because it's outside the opening times. Srsly?!

I am so extremely angry right know. Why can't I at least just write an e-mail?
