I just purchased the game a couple of weeks ago, so the update that it put onto my battlefield one could be much older. I just bought my Xbox one X less than a month ago. Battlefield one was one of my first games. I was just shocked to find that after I had progressed probably five or more levels into the game, that after the patch/update, all I had available to me in the main menu was a new game. I’m sorry I don’t have the patch or update number, as I’m sure that would prove to be very helpful. When I saw it needed a patch, I just agreed, I did not write down the patch/update version since I knew that that would just be the logical progression of this game – patches and updates always seem to help. Then when the game restarted, that’s where it left me with only New Game as an option. It’s not a huge deal, after all, it’s a wonderful game that I don’t mind playing through once again, but I can understand how other people who have made much more progress, and earned more trophies and achievements, could find themselves in a frustrating situation that they can’t do anything about. I could just see it happening to someone on their last level of the game, and they’ve spent countless hours getting there and getting all the achievements they possibly could, and finding them wiped out.
I love EA games, the work that comes out of your studio is outstanding. So I don’t know if the problem happened at my end, or if there was something going on in the patch that was errant, Judging by your reply, apparently this is the first time you have heard word of this happening, so I hope It proves to be useful to you, and maybe we can get to the source of what caused the issue. I am more than happy to help in any way possible.
Sincerely,

P.S. I’m going to go play some Battlefield 1 now! Thank you for making such a great game. The fact that sometimes patches and updates are not perfect is understandable. They have to be made for every system, in their own way, and sometimes, life just happens. Humans do the programming, so human error is just a part of life. Other than that one glitch in the patch, the game is utterly beautiful and fantastic. Thank you for all your hard work at EA. It pays off in the quality of your games.
