No ability to create squads on PS4

In console mode it's seeminly impossible somtimes to join games with friends due to the lack of a squad creation system. Honestly I don't understand why it's not there. It's a basic feature in ANY mutiplayer game (including BF3) and to why such a basic feature would be left out of this game on console I don't know. What's even more frustrating is that PC players can do this via battle log but console players cannot. 

WHERE IS THE SQUAD CREATION OPTION EA/DICE?!
