Yeah this is definitely a big bug. Please patch asap!
The game is very frustrating when it constantly re-sets as the original poster put it.
This is my situation if it helps narrow it down;
AMD 6300FX with GTX 950 8GB RAM running WIndows 10 Build 1511 (latest)
Administrator account. All permissions allowed full modify.
Solid State Drive (is C:/) Origin is installed here. As well as OS and Majority of apps. Game saves are on cloud setting of Origin.
I checked C/User/XXXX/Documents and there is nothing labeled Origin or Battlefield anywhere. I have other games (From Steam) access this hard drive and write to it no problem.
Hard Drive (is D:/) Game is installed here. All 47 GB of it.
I have this very similar setup working for my Steam (Steam is on C: but Games are on D🙂 so I know its not a problem on my end.
Please advise what to do in the meantime or if you need further information
i dont understand what this bug is even doing its stupid. EA should just fix it and bring the patch out or something. i am on the same kinda setup as you and i still get it.

So being the OP, I thought I should comment on this!
My game is installed on the C:/ - same drive as "my documents". im not sure if its the exact same problem that people are having if the game is installed on a different drive to their OS. (maybe try installing the origin and the game on the OS drive and see if it fixes the problem?).
I fixed my problem of the battlefield1 "my documents" folder not being created (which fixed all the problems I was originally having ingame) by starting origin as administrator (right click on origin desktop shortcut and "run as administrator"); Then right clicking on the desktop battlefield1 shortcut and "run as administrator". If you dont have a desktop shortcut, find the battlefield1.exe in the origin folder and run as administrator from there. Dont directly play battlefield through origin as it wont run as administrator even though origin is running as administrator. Now the battlefield1 folder has been created I can now run the game through origin as normal.
Also, another problem I was having was that I couldnt control and move fixed guns (fixed machine guns and tank guns etc), but I corrected this by disabling the origin ingame overlay.

Thanks, I tried that but unfortunately it did not work. I might have to combine the game and origin on the same hard drive. It's really odd since this divided setup works for all my other games except this one.
Glad you got it resolved though!
