Well, I'll start with the obvious.

Do you have a Xbox Live account, and/or is your Xbox connected to the internet?

If so, have you tried unistalling and then reinstalling?

    Hello ToffBrown,

The Multiplayer menu is not available in-game. Instead, you must use the Battlelog service in order to join a server.

    1. Go to Battlelog.

    2. Sign-in.

    3. Click on Multiplayer tab.

    4. Click on "Search for servers" which is located under "Recommended servers" in order to adjust your Server Filter settings.

Let me know if you still have problems connecting to a server on PC.

When i try that i recieve the error message. "

You need a soldier to join this server"
  • Toff do you have and Xbox Live GOLD account? Gold is required to play online multiplayer with your Xbox 360, if you only have a free Silver account your online access is restricted.

Regarding PC if you have already purchased and downloaded BF4 for PC via origin log into your PC origin client and double click the BF4 icon in your games library and it will automatically launch and sign you into Battlelog which may get around the error message about not having a soldier that you are receiving.

I also recommend that you link your Xbox Live gamertag with your Origin account so your 360 and PC soldiers are under the same Origin account as detailed here: http://battlelog.org/bl/tutorial_how-to-connect-your-xbox-360-account-with-battlelog_41
