No sound issue on Windows 10 20H2 (Build 19042.1110)
Thanks for the help guys, it was something a bit more sophisticated I guess. I got a love writing for support and in forums only to find the solutions a minute later or in this case a day later.
Sometime ago in order to split audio better on my GoXLR I went into advanced app volume and device settings in the new Windows 10 sound settings and set the output to my GoXLR device/line "Game" as output. You can't change that on Battlefield 4, though in newer titles/games you can select where output to which device. It must have somehow corrupted or was still on a old legacy device. You have to know there is an issue with GoXLR mini devices, if you plug the GoXLR into the wrong USB port it counts up the device's name so instead of showing up as "Game" which is the normal way it shows up the audio device I would have would be called "2 - Game".
Anyway, I think it was trying to output to that old device, not recognizing that I switched it around sometime ago to just be Game as a device name with the correct USB-Port on the back of my motherboard. Within the old volume mixer and in ear trumpet audio was shown to be 100% volume at all times though. Either that, or it might have just glitched out. Just that it was outputing/routed to an old legacy device that was disconnected for Windows.

Now I have sound output, thanks for the suggestions though. This brought me closer to the solution.
