Not being sent an email verification code?

I just created my Origin account and purchased Battlefield Bad Company 2 hoping to get to play, but when I tried to redeem my product code, I was told I needed to verify my Origin account's email. 

I clicked the "Please verify your account" button and it said you email verfication has been sent, or something along those lines. Now it is telling me that the email could not be sent, please try again later. Any suggestions?

    Hi chefbasil!

    If you having trouble with the verification e-mail from Origin, please check your spamfolder first.

    Go to www.origin.com/download, download and install the latest version of Origin (and make sure you have your Origin account ready as well).

    If this issue still happen and you are unable to verify your Origin account, please get in contact with one of our Game Advisor. They need to check your account details.
