Nvidea: Limited Output Dynamic Range (Too Dark)
HI, Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 4 Force [ Full Output Dynamic Range ] On TV. This is why Battlefield 1 and 4 look so dark ( you probably have no problem is you are using a PC Monitor and not a TV. I am Using an Insignia LED 42 inch 1080p TV with HDMI . I have an NVidia 970GTX on Windows 10 Latst drivers . SO to fix this you have [ when you are in game ] go to NVidia setting and change to EITHER USE Default Color Setting in the TAB or Use NVidia Color Setting and put it to OUTPUT DYNAMIC RANGE to LIMITED.
And it Should pout the right Range ! PROBLEM IT will not ALWAYS work I have to switch those setting a couple of time until it work in game !!!
Problem is Battlefield force Dynamic Color Range and when you TV/MONITOR does not support Full 0-255 instead of 16-235 (Limited is not a problem as TV always fonction like that)
you wont miss a thing with Limited its juste that you will see all the right kind of Grey !!!
Problem is that Only Battlefield 1 and 4 Force Dynamic range that mess with your game and make it too DARK ( Bring to the screen a GREY SCREEN TEST ) and you will see that on a limited TV range you will only see all the grey if it on Limited Range on your NVidia Setting..
NOW Try to explain that to EA !??! No Body know anything about this and it really really TRULY Annoying. If you Know how to fix this problem let me know am getting MAD about this
NO OTHER game does that and I play them all (DONT tell me about brightness or something like that its not a problem of that)
