Old and New version.

Hi.

I, as others old players, I baught the game in the past.

Before this game become free, we had 2 versions of battlefield 1942 on multiplayer, 1.6, and 1.61b.

We run our servers on 1.61b version, for clanwars, and public too.

But the new version of battlefield, (on Origin) and EA's 1942 servers are in 1.612 version !

If we get the new version, we can't play anymore at 1.6 and 1.61b (we have a patchswitcher between there two versions).

So, can we have a patch wich works on 1.61b and 1.612 ? it will be cool for all, new players, to visit us, and for veterans !

    Why can't you simply put the new Origin version on your clan server?

    Can we do that ? Actually we have no patch.

    I think there is no Patch available but !!maybe!! You just could upload the needed files from your clientinstall and start a 1.612 Server as you would on your local Machine. (Win only)

    Playing together is not (will never be?) possible because of the code changes they made to the game (net protocol changes?) as stated in the FAQ.
