[PC] Battlefield 4 automatically saves and closes.

    Ok, well I think I found a workaround. It still has to be fixed, but at least you can play battlefield in a non automatically closing way 🙂 

    It was PunkBuster after all causing the problem and to be precise: PnkBstrA.exe

    You have to Kill the Process every time you want to join a new map.

    I tried it a couple of times and when I stop the process, I can play without problems.

    But when I leave and join another server without stopping the process, it closes automatically.

     

    So after playing, open your Task Manager, search for PnkBstrA.exe and Kill the process.

    If it works for you too, please give an XP point so people can see it really helped.

     It explains you to reinstall C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\punkbuster\redist\pbsvc.exe

     

    EDIT2: I have programmed a simple tool that  Shutsdown PunkBuster (PnkBstrA.exe) when you enter a New Server.

    Everything is done automatically. You can even set this tool to run at startup. Enjoy!

Hey dude, are you still having this problem? I was having the exact same issue. I fixed mine by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\ folder, right clicked bf4_x86, went to properties, clicked the compatibility tab, and in the privilege level bit i ticked run as administrator. I did the same thing with the bf4 non _x86 launcher just to be sure.

I havent had the issue since. Hope this helps 🙂

Yes I did that, you can see it in my previous post. First it looked like it worked, because I could play for a while, but when I joined a new server it came back.

      Yup, that's the one 🙂 Well, hopefully it is going to be pushed through to Online Tech Support soon.

      Can't wait to finally play it the normal way.
