[PC] Unable to deploy in game

So i've seen this issue in a number of forums and so far I haven't been able to do anything about this problem. I'm on PC, and essentially when I load into a game I am unable to actually spawn in, I'm just stuck at the deployment screen. My mouse cursor becomes the Windows blue loading wheel.  I can see my team move around and the chat and everything, but no matter how long I wait I can't chat, or click anything, or deploy via spacebar/enter key and I have to quit the game through Windows task manager.

Things I have tried:

Logging out of/into Origin

Updating punkbuster through the pbsvc.exe contained in the BF4 files

Downloading punkbuster through their website and adding BF4 to the list

Uninstall/reinstall BF4 and all DLC

Repair install of BF4 and DLC

I've tried everything that I could think of or find and could sure use some help.

  • Did you try all this?.....

    Run the game as Administrator:
Go to the Origin games folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4) and find Bf4.exe. Right click it and go to PROPERTIES, then COMPATIBILITY and check the box next to RUN THIS PROGRAM AS ADMINISTRATOR.
Do the same with BF4_x86.exe as well.

    Run Origin as Administrator:
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin and right click on Origin.exe and go to properties. Then go to compatibility tab and check the box next to RUN AS ADMIN.

    Disable Origin in game:
In Origin - Application settings - Origin in Game - disable Origin in game

Origin Cloud Storage turn it off
    Origin, settings, General

Make Sure BF4 is set to 64bit if your windows is 64bit
1- open origin and go to My Games
2-Right click BF4 and go to Game Properties
3-Under when launching this game set it to x64 and check off disable origin in game.
4- Hit apply and test you BF4

Another thing that may be worth trying: run a Clean Boot: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
This should ensure that no programs are interfering in the background.

If all this fails to fix it then try this...

BF4 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF4 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF4 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues. Even if its not a new install it is still worth trying as the game cfg could be mucked up.

1- Go to my Documents and remove BF4 folder place it on your Desktop or trash.
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
    3-Repair BF4
4- When done go test your game. If it fails reboot your PC and run repair game again and test BF4.

    Hey Zorlacc-

i cannot figure out, but something happened from last update for BF4 that prevents deployment while having surround spanning. Works fine in BF3- no issues at all- reduced to single - no surround spanning- able to deploy. have tried reactivating the additional monitors while bf4 is minimized then game crashes.

been playing fine until last week- any ideas?

i have contacted Nvidia- they had me try "Display Driver Uninstaller" then reunstall- have also done the same to BF4. still same occurence.

  • I have the same issue with 🏈 GTX 970 cards. They work fine with a single monitor, but if you set the surround for triple monitors , BF4 can't is stuck at deploy screen.

I suspected this is a real bug, so I tried this on a separate PC with GTX 770's - same issue. On either single card or SLI, issue remains.

Is there a fix for this yet? It's either an Nvidia driver issue or a BF4 game issue, I'm not sure.

Same issue here too. I have 2 gtx 970's and 3 ASUS  27" monitors in surround and get the Windows 7 Loading wheel and choppy loading of BF4 and it will NOT let me Deploy. I havent played BF4 in a while but remember it running OK before with my single GTX 770 last time I played it. Its not just you.

Did this issue ever get resolved or did anyone find a workaround? I tried getting back into BF4 lately. I just upgraded to 2x GTX970s SLI'd and other games seems to work fine on 5670x1080 (Titanfall, for example, runs like butter). I load up "test range" map, then when i hit the DEPLOY button, the monitors all start to freak out and turn off and on and off again. everything goes silent till, a few minutes later, the whole machine reboots.
