I have had this issue for days, I did what I stated above earlier, and have not an issue since.. Maybe you should actually try it.. even for people who have Windows Firewall disabled, it has still worked. My friends and I have been playing all day, using the fix listed above.. no issues.
I've tried it, tried everything suggested on these forums to fix a problem that isn't my problem, and still it takes 10-15 tries to get on a server.
Just to add, you can easily join servers that aren't near full, 5 or more slots free, which makes me think the poster above, who said that slots get 'corrupted' over time was correct. That's the problem.
i have since tried only joining servers with more than 5 slots open and it has not failed once.
