Pigeon Control

Sorry if this is already a post, but I wasn't able to find it. When I am on the mission "through mud and blood" and get to the part where I am suppose to control the pigeon I am not able to at all. I am using a mouse and was trying to find the controls for it on the options menu, however nothing I do as in moving the mouse or hitting w,a,s,d moves the pigeon at all, it just keeps flying straight off and I keep having to start over. This is very annoying and I was wondering if I could get help or any information on how to control this pigeon so I may continue playing this story.Thank you in advance.
