Ping jumping to 600 when joining a BF4 server! Unplayable!

So everytime im joining a server in BF4 my ping jumps to around 600ms which makes no sense. Every other game like CSGO, BF3, BFBC2, Arma or Squad work just fine, so it cannot be my PC or my router. Could there be some setting somewhere? It also stays up in 600ms but comes down after 5min to normal after i have quitted the game. I ran this (ping www.google.com -l 1024 -n 20) in cmd while i was joining to see what happens and here i wasent even playing yet...

Pinging www.google.com [172.217.22.164] with 1024 bytes of data:

  • Problem solved! Nothing happened it just started working randomly one day. I do get nice amount of session lost messages which file flying and having fun are getting to my nerves.

  • Hi @ManGusTisti,

It really can be several things still, though it is indeed weird if it is just when you try and play BF4 !

As you did the ping command, can you please try and do the same but using the tracert.com command instead, as that will tell us where on the pathway you have the high latency kicking in?

I presume that you have already tried power cycling all your network components and updated all of them to use latest firmware editions?  ;o)
