Please repair your game installation and try again

I downloaded Battlefield 1 with origin around. I had this issue to begin with, but I was able top use the FrostyMod Manager with no mods to work around it.

Now that Origin is gone and replace with the EA app, Ive ran into this issue once more and I am not sure how to fix it as all the advice is for Origin. If anyone could help get my game back up and running again, Id greatly appreciate it! Thank you for your time!

  • For anyone else who tried the FrostyFix and Frosty Mod Manager route, it didn't work for me.  Which seemed silly on the face of it because I don't and have never had any mods installed for EA.  I was poking around the Battlefield 1 install folder (C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1\) and on a whim decided to check out EA Anti Cheat, since I believe it is new to the game.  I opened up the EAAntiCheat.Installer.Tool, updated it, and then repaired it.

And wouldn't you know, FINALLY, the game will launch.  Hopefully this helps others.
