Plugin free launching is not working

Origin is running (that's how i launched chrome to the battlelog site). But when i try to join a server it sits there for a while and then tells me origin is not running (where the plugin dl icon is). When i click there a popup comes up to have me start origin and then just sits there forever telling me it's waiting for origin to get ready.

I'M STUCK HERE! WHAT CAN I DO?

1 Origin not installed? Download Origin

2 Check your Advanced settings in your Origin client and make sure you have not disabled ”Origin Helper” (Only applicable to Origin 9.7 or earlier)

3 Still here? Then try switching off plugin-free game launching in profile settings.

4 As a last resort switch to another browser and retry.
